CL Morris is a dedicated mental health professional with over 15 years of experience in the counseling field. As the Owner and CEO of CL’s Counseling and Consulting Firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she has made it her mission to empower and inspire individuals to take charge of their mental health and personal growth. Her firm serves a wide range of clients across Louisiana and Texas, addressing issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, and behavior disorders.

Mrs. Morris’ expertise extends beyond counseling into clinical supervision, where she is passionate about guiding the next generation of mental health professionals. With credentials that include being a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), she has made significant contributions to the field of counselor education. She provides supervision and mentorship to those pursuing licensure as professional counselors, ensuring they meet the highest ethical and professional standards.

Recognized for her leadership in the field, CL Morris developed the comprehensive Becoming a Clinical Supervisor course, approved by the Center for Counseling Education. This course offers 45 continuing education hours (including 6 hours in ethics) and is specifically designed to prepare counselors for supervisory roles. The course is flexible and self-paced, allowing participants to access live support and guidance throughout their training. Her dedication to excellence in supervision ensures that participants not only gain the necessary skills but also develop the confidence to thrive as leaders in the mental health community.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Services and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Morris’ academic background is as strong as her practical experience. She is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), adding another layer of expertise to her therapeutic approach.

In her role as a supervisor and educator, CL Morris continues to nurture and empower the next wave of clinical supervisors, fostering a culture of ethical, compassionate, and competent leadership in the counseling profession.
